2. Sen Obama, since this is MTV, let me get your take on some words from a gospel singer:
Rev. McClurkin once stated he'd battle "the curse of homosexuality".

Can you tell me what the "curse of homosexuality" means to you?

71. It's not the guy who performed the music
It's the guy who put him on that stage to spout his bullshit. The guy who said he was just going to sing a couple of songs, even though he MC'd the event. Do you really not see what is wrong about building a campaign fundraiser around McClurkin? If Edwards announced that David Duke was going to host a fundraiser...gah. Why bother describing the color of the sky to a blind person?

Yeah, MTV is a real alternative to the serious news media. I'd rather see him talk to Stephen Colbert about why he should change his name to avoid being mistaken for a terrorist. At least that would address SOMETHING in the campaign.

55. I have nothing to say to Senator Obama.
Not that I'm indifferent or anything. I'm more interested in how he reacts to the questions he gets. Also, any questions I might ask would probably be duplicated or improved on by others.

I WILL be watching how he responds to the complaints about the anti-gay Christians he's been hanging around in the last week or so. I personally have no problem with it; I think his record on gay rights is pretty good, and he's testifying along with the anti-gay guy, so he might change some minds. What matters to me is how he explains it. This is an example of how flexible and responsive he is in public.

But they're not going to ask him anything about that on an MTV show. "Boxers or briefs" is the toughest question those dumbass teens will ask him. I'll have to wait until he appears on a real TV or cable channel.

McBigot didn't make any statements while associated with him. As a matter of fact, you can look at it as the BIGOT having the double standard for singing for a pro-gay rights candidate who publicly spoke out against his views.

33. More than one person can possess a double standard at the same time.
And for Obama to call for the firing of Imus, while at the same time supporting a concert packed with anti-gay bigots clearly shows that a double standard does exist.

39. Like I've previoiusly said, McClurkin isn't the only bigot performing at this concert.
Many of the other performers share anti-gay views.

This is one of the most stunning examples of applying a double standard. He called for the firing of Imus in light of his bigoted statements, and yet Obama can't disassociate himself with a concert FULL of bigots?

Seems to me in your view the only way Imus should have gotten a pass on his remarks is if he broke out in song afterwords.
