Has the money race become a moot issue? In the past, getting
the money was a zero sum game. There was only so much money out there, the big donors made their choices after Iowa and New Hampshire and for all practical purposes the nominee was chosen. This year, the donor pool has expanded considerably. As far as I can tell, the top three candidates already have the funds to continue campaigning right up to the convention. Why would any of them drop out?
