Like bourbon and country ham, candidates must be well aged.

Or so the pundits in Kentucky always say.

By that line of thought, Sen. Obama has some agin' to do, IMO.

8. Ahhhhh, those were the days.

We can't have them back, though. Political blunders are under the magnifying glass.

2. I'm reminded
of Steve Martin's incredible performance as the Jerk. He was "wining" and dining Bernadette Peters and when the wine was brought to the table he brushed it off demanding they be brought the fresh stuff. I don't believe one's age or experience is necessarily a must for elective office. There are plenty of old criminals in elective office who have erred year after year after year. cheney is a perfect example of one who has "aged."

4. And kept in a cellar away from sunlight and fresh air
What a ridiculous saying.

I'm of the opinion that a person has the same basic integrity that they had at 17 years old.

And here's another old-tyme expression - "No whore like an old whore"

:hi:

Actually, the "aged" saying has been used when referring to campaign blunders and inexperience.
