Edwards Labels Clinton As Insider
WASHINGTON (AP) — Looking to shake up Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's lead in the Democratic presidential race, John Edwards is making an ardent push for voters to turn away from Washington insiders and a corrupt political system dominated by lobbyists and special interests.

Edwards railed against the "bankrupt ways of Washington" — but his argument was less against President Bush's leadership than it was to cast Clinton as the insider that voters should reject.

"This corruption did not begin yesterday, and it did not even begin with George Bush," Edwards said in speech excerpts provided by his campaign. "It has been building for decades, until it now threatens literally the life of our democracy.

"Let us blaze a new path together," said Edwards, himself a former U.S. senator.

4. It's true! Wikipedia no longer has any mention of his Senate career!
And he's apologized for being an insider's VP pick in 2004.

:sarcasm:

6. It is sad to watch a man with such a promising
career implode right before our eyes. Odds are he will stay in even after HRC obtains the nomination, and he will be spewing out all he can against her, and the GOP will be copying to disk and then run ads against HRC using Edwwards words....WOW! Such an upstanding guy.....

10. you mean the one who
Is in contention in Iowa (only down by seven) having sepnt only 27 thousand in advertising so far compared to the millions Hillary and Obama have spent. The one that that the Washington establishment openly despises and the one they have relenlessly smeared with nonissues such as a haircut and a fake affair story. Watch out because objects in the mirror are closer than they appear.

8. A young caucus-goer named Lou
said as John Edwards withdrew--
"Now Hillary's quicker,
And thicker, and slicker,
And two inches longer than you."
