Does This Mean Obama Is Pro Gay Marriage?
i read his "apology" in another thread and part of it was:
"I have clearly stated my belief that gays and lesbians are our brothers and sisters and should be provided the respect, dignity, and rights of all other citizens."

4. Perhaps it is time to actually read up on his views
and not try drudging up the crap some DUers are throwing around making him seem like some homophobic caveman. He is for giving gay Americans 100% rights that straights have when it comes to legal unions.

2. No it means

No it means that he is well versed in speaking out both sides of his mouth, as is apparent from his latest actions.

I have been planning to vote for Kucinich. The only thing that would keep me from voting for Kucinich is if Hillary is close to being the nominee, then it was my plan to vote for Obama. That has all changes now and if its close Im voting for Edwards or Gore as a write in.

5. No. He is against gay marriage, unless he's flipflopped recently.
It's hard to keep up.

Update at 1:45 p.m. ET. Religion and gay rights:

The first two questions from the audience were about faith and gay rights.

Obama stressed his belief in the "separation of church and state," and said as president that he would seek to translate his Christian faith into "universal terms" that get people to support his agenda without seeking to impose any religious views on them.

On gay rights, Obama said "everybody is part of the American family, not just some people." He said he supports civil unions in part because "right now there are about 1,200 laws that don't apply to people with civil unions and as president of the United States I want to change that."
