Most see Clinton as the presidential candidate best equipped to deal with Iran, followed by Giuliani and McCain—but many express uncertainty

Why does anybody think being in the company of Giuliani and McCain is a good thing.

I'm all down with the fact that Hillary is going to win the nom, maybe even the general. She's pretty much had the nom sewn up since Gore got the election stolen from him in 2000.

However, there's a few things the Hillary promoters need to admit:

1.) Hillary's real support comes from 2 things: her female gender and nostalgia for the Clinton years.

It does not come from any uber "Leadership" skills that she posseses or has shown to NY and the broader electorate. The most important vote of her career was dead wrong and her sweeping of it under the proverbial carpet is disingenuous. If half of DU knew Bush was full of bullshit (and we did, and he was)... then she should have known he was full of bullshit (just like Al Gore and Howard Dean did). She's either lying or she is less perceptive than half of DU. Which is worse?

2.) Any perception that Hillary is some sort of uber leader is a product of media hype (the same MSM media many Hillary supporters deride elsewhere on DU). Honestly, give some examples of things she has actually done that reflect executive leadership. Furthermore, give me one example where she was prescient on an issue, rather than just reactive to the whims of politics. Her poll numbers are just a result of favorable press and name recognition. Unlike in number #1, this is the non-real support that you guys keep reporting about. Don't expect it to last forever.

3.) Once Hillary wins the nomination, her broadly supportive media hype in the MSM will dry up to an extent. She will be GORE'd and Swiftboated. Be prepared for the misinformation train that has yet to visit Hillary's doorstep (it's fair to say Hillary has experienced enough unfair derision in the past but she's gotten nothing but help from the MSM that has promoted her candidacy at least since 2004).

---

But like I said, she will probably win the nomination and the Clinton's are politically savvy so I think she will likely win the general too. She doesn't deserve it as much as some other liberals I can name but that's something a lot of us have to live with. Also, it will be good to break the gender barrier.

However, don't think for a second all these polls mean shit. These same pollsters that you and other Hillary supporters quote are the same ones that infuriate you when they "find" favorable results for politicians and political parties you don't like.

Please spend less time reporting polls and more time actually giving examples of what executive leadership your candidate has shown. I know that would be hard to do, but I think it would go further in terms of discourse.

8. DU is not the "public" and DU doesn't need another poll like this...
being reported as a service.

Are you going to report all the polls that come out that are unfavorable to Hillary?

Or is it only a "public service" if it serves Hillary's ends?

And how is reporting polls a service anyway? Especially when most people haven't made up their minds and the numbers mostly reflect media hype?

Be honest, you have an agenda.

But be more honest, so does the MSM.

15. Hillary stated she would deal with Iran by NOT speaking to them in her first term but
at the current stage of things that could be a smart move?
