I have had msnbc on for the last couple of hours and **all** they are talking about is will Obama go after Hillary tonite.

They are really putting the pressure on him

Even tho I am a die-hard Bidenite, I hope Obama has his best nite ever.

1. Me too!
I hate the way the MSM shapes the debates.

And I hate the way that they cover our politics.

2. I don't think he will take the bait.
He and Edwards will challenge her and not attack her. And you know if they don't attack her like Russert/Williams/MSNBC wants them to, they will claim they chickened out. Damned if he do and damned if he don't.

3. Obama was warned days and days ahead of his stupidity/bigotry/greed
No way is any of this coming out of the blue and blind sighting him.

19. No, he just brags about being the only one who can get elected
in "Hazard County."

You know, where they drive with Confederate flags on the cars.

8. You got it, they are hyping the fight to get ratings.
Sort of like one of those heavy-weight boxing matches that HBO promotes.

Unfortunately, if Obama does come out swinging, it's going to look pre-planned and staged. Strategically, he needs to do it anyway but they are taking some of the luster off.

7. Talking heads are lazy and nearly all of them suffer from the herd mentality.
That said, I think John Harwood, Chief Washington Correspondent for CNBC, has more integrity than the lot of them--the only one I respect.

10. I just heard Williams on MSNBC at the commercial break ask
"Will we see a new Obama tonight". When the heck did this turn into an Obama/Clinton debate? At first they were talking about the other Democrats stepping up the debate to Clinton but now it's all Obama.

14. The MSM apparently thinks we actually give a crap what they think .

And I'm still fuming over the Media Heathers' performance in 2000.
CNN's Reliable Sources August 10, 2002 was a genuine eye-opener. Guest Josh Marshall, webmaster of Talking Points, stated, "... I think deep down most reporters just have contempt for Al Gore. I don't even think it's dislike. It's more like disdain and contempt." None of the talking heads disagreed. Guest Dana Milbank, White House reporter for the Washington Post offered, "You know what it is? I think that Gore is sanctimonious and that's sort of the worst thing in the eyes of the press. And he has been disliked all along and it was because he gives a sense that he is better than us ... as reporters."

18. I think he'll be screwed either way... If he attacks Clinton
racial politics may rear its ugly head (ex: who does that uppity black guy think he is talking to a white woman like that?)... of course, if he does nothing, then he'll come across as a weakling. Honestly, he is screwed either way.
