16. MSNBC viewers placed her second after Obama...
where does it say she "sucked"? I thought Biden did great! Edwards didn't fare as well as Biden but I think it was because he seemed too desperate (I thought Obama was desperate too but the poll does not reflect that).

18. She didnt suck, she was just seen for what she is, a flip flopper!
Its going to be hell if we choose her as our nominee if that was how she will handle people pointing out her downfalls.

4. Edwards at 17%? That's crazy.
He made the most damaging attacks on Hillary all night and was sharp as a tack at the podium.

25. Unless you're gay or you don't much care for having christianity shoved down your throat
Everyone more or less accepted is accepted; those not quite accepted are more or less excepted.

Toleration is a bit short of inclusion.

27. Right!
I think people voted for the candidate that they previously supported and didn't pay attention to the debate.

14. IMO Edwards and Obama took it.

Dodd and Biden were excellent.
Kucinich good.
Richardson was there.

But Hillary faced some inconvenient truths upside her head. Ouch.

17. HRC did not lose this debate and since she did not lose
neither Obama or Edwards won. This debate seemed to be a setup to attack Hillary.Tonight was such a disappointment. MSNBC baited Barack and Edwards to attack Hillary. The questions asked were negative towards her. More focus was placed on her than on the current administration, than issues affecting our children, and more than this ugly war. I fear that the attacks on her are going to hurt the Democratic Party in the long run. This was the wrong type of debate for the Democrats, and MSNBC helped to create this ugly discourse. Any of the Democratic candidates would be better than the Republicans. We can't win by destroying our best candidates. Hillary did a great job holding up under the attack. I am very proud of her, and I support her.

I do thank you
Ben David

21. Interesting...and I'm not surprised. As I said, Edwards and Clinton hurt themselves tonight.
Clinton in her equivocal, less than candid answers on some questions, and Edwards in the fierceness of his attacks which sometimes verged on character assasination.

Obama was direct, candid, and forthright. He showed real leadership.

I'm now leaning toward Obama...

24. I'd be happy with Clinton or Obama, but I do think I would prefer Obama.
I did see some real difference tonight. I did not like the way Clinton answered some of the questions, and as I said I appreciated Obama's candid, direct answers.

29. Edwards wants to see the best candidate win.
He believes, and I believe that candidate is Edwards, but I believe he will do what it takes to make sure the candidate is not Hillary because she is the worst choice of those running, the absolute worst. Her personality and character, her bitterness and arrogance will sour the American people on our democratic system forever. We cannot elect Hillary as president in 2008.

31. Edwards was good in highlighting differences
but maybe overly negative and aggressive in his attacks for some people tastes.

Think Lazio vs. Hillary in the 2000 Senate debate.
