I am not a Kucinich supporter...
Edited on Wed Oct-31-07 09:22 AM by youthere
but I personally was PISSED the way he was "handled" last night. They went out of their way to mock him, and he was treated like he was a big joke last night. It was horrible and infuriating to watch. Matthews should be fired for his mocking and taunting tone after the debate. This is worse than shameful. Dennis should demand an apology from Matthews.

Edit to add: Dennis DESERVES an apology from the network.

1. Matthews should be fired, period. I cannot stand that guy!
He's a fucking disgrace. His voice, words and mannerisms make you want to jump out of the nearest window or slam your head against the wall repeatedly, just to make it stop. However, it's much easier and safer to just push that little button on the remote, LOL.

2. I can't watch the crap anymore.
I don't want to give myself an ulcer from watching them clowning around while the country circles the drain.

3. Just to get on the occupied network
you know in advance what kind of crap you'll have to put up with. The star moderators on the obscenely corporate news networks are SO bad they mangle the GOP debates as well, but at least there they are conspicuous in their bias toward them. They are not needed in the Dem debates.

Maybe they are such predictable clowns that it makes it somehow easier than intelligent and non-partial moderators. If they WANT this kind of abuse why not get some real fireworks and let Nader, Chomsky, or Palast have at them? Why do they have to suffer RW stooges to get the campaign on the airways? Because it's cheaper than buying air time? because the public expects the ritual of having the lords of the airways vet the people's true public servants- that they hate and are working diligently to defeat- in overt conspiracy?

5. Matthews is an Ass
He had Dod on the other day, and asked him why he was running. His contention: "You're well respected, everybody likes you, you have a safe seat, and your giving all that up to run. I don't get it, I don't get it, I just don't get it."

Dodd should have said "Frankly Chris, there are quite a few things that you just don't get."

I am surprised that the network that KO is on uses Matthews as their go to guy on politics.

6. Why do Democrats allow themselves to be put into a debate
run by a rightwing tool? Would the Republicans allow the debate to be monitored by Keith Olbermann? (Not that Keith is a tool, but he is clearly not a fan of rightwing idiots.)

Matthews was doing what he always does: being a condescending rightwing-ass-kissing arrogant tool. Who picks these formats, who the heck is in control?
