"Can't touch that"
That is the first phrase that comes to my mind with regards to Obama/Edwards's failed attempts to attack Hillary in last nights debate.

1. Failed? Which debate were you watching?
The one I saw last night was not good for Hillary.

She got caught flip flopping right there on stage in front of everyone.

And why are her records from her days as First Lady not available?

What is she hiding?

How many promises has she made to lobbyists and corporations in order to receive those huge donations?

Hillary is compromised as a candidate. If she's elected, it will be more of the same. We need change, not Hillary.

7. Democratic Debate in Philadelphia - Who was least honest

"I think that our responsibility as presidential candidates is to be in 'tell the truth' mode all the time," Edwards said.

Which candidate do you believe was the least honest & least forthcoming during the Debate?

8. But the real bad issue is her stance on the current war, and the one...
that may come with Iran. This person ought not to be our next President from this issue alone.

4. To give you a taste of what the Voters and Media feels
Hillary Clinton
Grade: C-

Fell off the tough-shrill balance beam onto the "shrill" side — with a THUD. More defensive than usual, and at times too political and too hot tempered. Borderline disastrous moment at the end when she gave an equivocal answer about drivers licenses for illegal immigrants in New York; it opened the door for her opponents to pounce by turning it into a character issue — and pounce they did. The failure of her performance was cumulative, however, so only those watching the whole debate would see how weak her evening was. If she loses the nomination, tonight will go down in history as the first step to her defeat — no fatal "Dean Scream" catastrophe, but far from her finest moment, to say the least.

9. Except in two cases I think she fumbled
I would agree she held up against the onslaught very well, especially considering the media's worst efforts.

13. She didn't fumble...she answered a hypothetical question appropriately..
It was the at the end of the debate and I'll concede there wasn't much time left for clarity or consequences to be discussed..

19. "reviews are in"?
Edited on Wed Oct-31-07 12:02 PM by Lirwin2
Aren't these the same reviews that are supposedly written by the "pro-Clinton MSM"? Polls and reviews suddenly matter when they don't favor Clinton?

20. Since I've never said that, you'll have to try another avoidance
tactic. Let's see what you can come up with.
