Ralph Nadar to sue Democrat Party (what a whiner!)
I guess Ralph is upset he didn't have as much impact on helping Bush win like he did in 2000

Ralph Nader sues Democratic Party Tue Oct 30, 5:40 PM ET

WASHINGTON - Consumer advocate and 2004 independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader sued the Democratic Party on Tuesday, contending officials conspired to keep him from taking votes away from nominee John Kerry.

Nader's lawsuit, filed in District of Columbia Superior Court, also named as co-defendants Kerry's campaign, the Service Employees International Union and several so-called 527 organizations such as America Coming Together, which were created to promote voter turnout on behalf of the Democratic ticket.

The lawsuit also alleges that the Democratic National Committee conspired to force Nader off the ballot in several states.

"The Democratic Party is going after anyone who presents a credible challenge to their monopoly over their perceived voters," Nader said in a statement. "This lawsuit was filed to help advance a free and open electoral process for all candidates and voters. Candidate rights and voter rights nourish each other for more voices, choices, and a more open and competitive democracy."

9. No but when Nadar pays for an organization known for fraud to help gather signatures
then yes, I have a problem. It was in Ohio and half the signatures were found to be fraudulent. Ironically the Rick Santorum people used the same organization to gather signatures for green candidate wannabe Carl Romanelli. Casey was smart to challenge the signaures.

I think our electorial system sucks but I'm never going to vote for anyone that will enable a republican win either

14. No, no, no...it's a duopoly.
Please refer to Ralph's proper rhetoric.

I notice he's not suing the Republican Party. Would that be because it's bad form to sue those that prop up your campaign financially?

But Ralph has every right in the world to make these claims.

He may be suffering from delusions, but he is the most principled man we're likely to have known (at least of those who are or have run for office).

7. Principled....
and his principals have brought us to the brink of WWIII. Ralph can take his principals and cram them where the sun don't shine. He KNEW he was helping Bush get elected, but his "principals", a.k.a. his EGO, wouldn't let him step aside. After all, there's not a dime's worth of difference between the parties, right? :sarcasm:

11. Yes, principled.
Sorry you're so bitter about little ole' Ralph.

What you call ego, others call principled behavior. Neither you, nor anyone else has the moral authority to tell Ralph that he doesn't have the right to do what he did, and is continuing to do.

I'm not happy that Ralph ran, but I won't begrudge him the right to do so.

15. Principled MY ASS!!
Sure, Ralph did some good back in the 80s with his consumer activist role but he's has no scruples when it comes to politcs. Sorry to burst your bubble but Ralph used a company notorious for scamming for signatures in order to get on the Ohio ballot - that's hardly principled in my book.

Ralph is an asshole - get over it

8. He needs to stand in line. Who is funding all these lawsuits?
The one being filed by a member of the gay community, still going on.

The one being filed by Bill Nelson and Alcee Hastings. Are they paying for it?

The one filed by Vic Dimaio in Tampa against the DNC and Dean...I just heard the state party leaders are on board with encouraging that lawsuit.

Steve Geller, the Florida Senate leader, doesn't plan to sue the DNC alone...but the first four states for being rogue states.

And now Nader.

Hmmmmmmm

12. I am with you --
Someone is paying alot of money to create chaos in the Dem party and by extension keep the current power structure as is. Is there anyway we can get information on this?

I have posted about the funding question before, and you are the first to respond.

It costs money.
