This place will drive you crazy if........
you use this board as a campaigning vehicle.

First off I kinda take issue with anyone that's driven crazy by anything that happens on the internet. If that's the case then I think you need to evaluate your life. I see this place as kind of a bar where we all meet to hash out the issues of the day. There are candidates that I like and candidates that I don't like. None of this stuff should be taken personel.

That is.........if you're here campaigning. Playing keyboard warrior will get you nowhere except for the nuthouse.

Don't take this place seriously.

Have a little fun.

You may learn a thing or two along the way.

1. I agree. I am not here to win others to "my side" of an issue or candidate
I will try to stay out of the upcoming Primary Wars. When things get too crazy, head over to the Lounge for some fun.

2. lol
from someone who admittedly wants to irritate people to the fullest extent possible, that's priceless.

Gotta love it.

4. I never said that
not that I don't like getting in my digs every now and then. I keep it above the fray so to speak. Primarily sticking to an issue. I don't care much about hair plugs and nose jobs.

I admit that I have a hard time laying off folks that take this place too seriously. I've been biting my tongue over the last few weeks though.

5. You don't keep it 'above the fray' at all.
More like below the belt, but...whatever.

7. I pleasantly schmooze!!!!
Damn it!!!

Seriously.

Talking about a candidate is one thing but I rarely target the poster themselves.

3. Also agree
free exchange of ideas is our most treasured right and responsibility.

I'll admit that more often than not I am merely entertained by DU.

But there are rare moments where I feel privileged to be able to share this forum with another thinker.

6. I come to DU to read and post news.....
and often enjoy supporting others who are here to do the same!

I've also been to two peace marches and one Yearly Kos event that were discussed and planned here with fellow DUers.

Also, the ignore feature has made this a much more enjoyable forum :D

As long as the MSM fears liberal blogs, I will continue to participate :hi:

8. Yep. It's interesting to have candidate advocates, but I'm here for other reasons...
and I think it's also good to have some of us here to post things without an agenda in favor of, or against, a candidate. I have a candidate, but I like them all -- and like to be informed about the campaign, and things both pro and con, about all the candidates.
