2. I think Obama needs a check up also he looks like a skelton
why in the world is he so skinny. I know you are discouraged to not be fat, but darn he could stay a little TLC when it comes to fattening up. Tell that wife of his to feed him.

3. Getting about an hour of sleep a night for about six months will do that.
None of the candidates look as good as they did in the beginning of the campaign. Well, except Edwards. But I'm convinced he's some sort of magical mannequin that's come to life.

5. Age, travel, lack of sleep and sinus trouble/colds will cause
puffy eyes.

I'm 37 and normally look about 29-30 years old, but when my sinuses are clogged, I can look 50+.

7. It was the lighting....
...and of course, the woman looks worse than the men.

PBS had poor lighting, which should have been checked before the telecast.

But I agree that they are all tired and are showing the results of long hours and little sleep.

9. Men are allowed to have bags under their eyes
when they age.

Women aren't - it's a sign that something is "wrong." And of course if they get that "corrected" (as if aging is something that needs medical correction), then they are slammed for being superficial and stuck on their looks.

I don't think she looks worse than the men at all; I think we just have been conditioned by corporate media, porn and airbrushing to have different standards for how a woman in her 50's should look compared to men in their 50's.

(And of course if your face isn't perfectly symmetrical, it's considered a sign that you look deranged, mentally ill, untrustworthy, etc.)

8. In all fairness
I am horrified to imagine even for a moment what I would look like if I were in her place. I've been a key player in lots of much smaller political efforts and look like crap at crunch time for those!

10. Not a Hillary fan, but very tired of the petty attacks.
I think it is time we stopped centering our efforts on personal attacks on our candidates.

There has been some ugly stuff here lately.

Just like the latter stages of the 04 primary.

11. Try months of travel, lack of sleep, a diet of road food
I'd feel and look like crap too. I'm no fan of HRC, but running for president is stressful and exhausting.
