This "underground" has been overrun by high-school-like candidate-cliques who do nothing but snipe at the other in-crowds to prove how much cooler they are. Every hot item on the board is yet another cat-fight between adolescents so enthralled with their own personality cult that they’re blind to the world beyond the campus.

Listen up children. Nobody of any depth or maturity gives a RAT’S ASS about your “cackles” and “haircuts” and “madrasas”.

It was like this last go arround too.

I wouldnt let it bother you. When we have a candidate we will all come together again. People are passionate about their candidates there is nothing wrong with that. If you cant take it though You would do yourself a favor by staying out of GDP till the primaries are over.

23. Sometimes I almost miss it

When threads like this come up reminds me of how utterly insane and brutal it was and why I laugh at all these threads calling for "peace" from people who weren't even on the board yet for the hottest part of the primary season. Here its mostly two-way, sometimes three way, back then it was Kuicinich, Clark, Edwards, and Kerry duking it out on here just to name the big ones and the rest were weighing in at some point or another (except Mosely-Braun, but she didn't really do much in the campaign to get attention) and boy was it nasty, but it sure was fun! That and right now maybe it sinks a bit below the gutter but not too far, then if we came up to the surface of the gutter and were using something other than knives it was a light day.

and my remedy is to pass by most of the flamefest threads. As if our arguing here makes one bit of difference to anyone's campaign...Ha!
I use the useless time I would use reading those threads to call those in power now who are selling us down the river. Another probable waste of time but it makes me feel like I am at least doing something.

21. This is why a long primary season is unfortunate

instead of bitching about Republicans, we spend over a year bitching at each other. I hope someone fixes this for next time around. I hate to see all the fighting, but I understand what the fighting is about and have to admit to taking part in it. I'd like to think I stick strictly to the issues but I'm sure some would disagree. A short primary season would help prevent this.
