"Our grassroots supporters – the heart, soul, and lifeblood of this campaign – have launched an inspiring effort to raise millions of dollars on one day, December 15th, to show the nation and the world that we can’t be bullied, we won’t be bossed, and our voices will be heard throughout this campaign!."

2. Did anyone hear Kucinich on Ed Schultz today? He talked about...

..... not being invited to the debate that the Des Moines Register had. He said that his staffers tried to do what they could to get him in, but that in the end.. he just didn't have the silly prerequisites that they called for.

He said that he wouldn't be launching any kind of complaint; that it wasn't his style to bitch about things like that.

But he did sound bummed that he wasn't able to attend, and he mentioned a few things that he would have said if he would've been there.

I can't recall the whole interview and Ed now makes people pay for pod casts... But still, it was nice of him to come on there and talk about being left out.

1,274 subscribers as of 12/13/07

——————–
NOTES

* On Dec 15, all donations are to be made to dennis4president.com. Or call 877-41-DENNIS (877-413-3664)
* Although the goal is to have 100,000 people donate $100 each on Dec 15, any amount is encouraged.

——————–
ONE MORE DAY

* Today, Friday, is our last day before the event to get the word out.
* Go to Digg, Reddit and NewsVine now to search for “reminder stories” and vote them up. If they don’t exist on a site you frequent, post one! I created a page at http://www.december152007.com/reminder.html that you can use as a fresh url.
* Although on Saturday, we will also need to do a major push on Digg, Reddit, MySpace, Facebook, etc. - kind of a “Hey everyone, it’s happening now, be a part of it” type of thing. So be prepared to monitor those sites, vote stories up, etc.

——————–
FLYERS

* There are now PDFs of flyers you can download, print, cut and distribute at your university, Whole Foods or anywhere else.
* Go to http://www.december152007.com/banners.html and scroll down to find a Color and a Black/White PDF
* You can cut the flyers for free at Kinko’s

——————–
HOUSE PARTIES

* The official Kucinich campaign has taken the idea of the anniversary of the Bill of Rights and expanded it to another level!
* Check out their house party initiative - it sounds like fun!
* We must reach out beyond our immediate online community to get other supporters involved. A house party is a great way to do that!
* Sign up and let others find you.
* For those that can’t afford $100, this is a great way to pool your money with others (Although any donation amount is encouraged, it might be fun to pool your money.).

——————–

* Go to http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=us&q=kucinich&btnG=Search+News and search for Kucinich stories
* Go to digg.com and submit them
* Go to http://digg.com/search?s=kucinich&submit=Search§ion=news&type=both&area=all&sort=new and digg other Kucinich stories!
* Comment all stories with a link to http://www.december152007.com
* Go to the original site of a posted Kucinich story and post a comment with a link to http://www.december152007.com

——————–

8. Done! I actually have a rule with Dennis- every time he says the "I" word
on t.v. or radio or I read a press release where he's mentioned impeachment, I send him a donation. America needs his voice so it's important, even if the chances are slim that he'll become the nominee, at least we know that someone is speaking for us. Go Dennis!

4. we gave a larger contribution
than we really can afford , a couple months ago. Maybe we should have spread it out by a monthly donation.

7. I wish I had a spare $100 for the Kooch.
This is not the best time of the year to be asking for donations.

10. I gave $20.00
Edited on Sat Dec-15-07 02:23 PM by riqster
...as they said, the $100.00 amount isn't mandatory.

On edit-12/15 was chosen because it's the date on which we adopted the Bill of Rights in 1791.

12. Thanks, and a tip for all y'all...
After I clicked the button to authorize the donation, I got an error message saying that the system was unable to process donations at this time. I then checked my card's balance online, and saw that it was in fact successful and the funds were transferred to Kucinich for President. So be aware, they're having infrastructural issues.

Kooch is running on a shoestring, and this indicates that the website is getting more hits than expected. We are so used to massively financed campaigns that it takes us aback when this kind of thing happens. To me, it is a sign of hope.
