Clinton's list of strong supporters "way more than anyone else," going door to door by the thousands

It's thousands and thousands and thousands of people, he said. We've found that phones just aren' working any more. Everyone's connection rate over the phone is really low. People are telling us they're getting 10 and 15 calls a night.

In one region of Iowa, Iowans who are undecided are getting back-to-back door knocks.

A Clinton person would go to the door and then a (Barack) Obama person would go to the door, Carson said.

Over 60 percent of the Clinton campaign's 1s and 2s have never caucused before. They believe their list of strong supporters is longer than the campaigns of Obama and John Edwards. As far as we can tell, it's way more than everyone else, Carson said.

The Clinton campaign has ideas for counteracting the flake rate - flaking means blowing off the caucus. They are arranging for rides and catering food at the sites. If they notice a supporter isnt there, they'll go pick him or her up, officials said.

Clinton's campaign has rented SUVs to make sure volunteers can get through any snow that falls Thursday night.

1. I can vouch for this
The numbers we have on our lists, in accordance, we have had very little luck reaching them-- no matter what time calls are placed. A lot of people in Iowa don't have answering machines! Door knocking is proving to be a huge success so far.

3. The west side of Iowa has a lot of people without answering machines
The central and eastern parts have plenty of answering machines. I've done phone banking with Iowa voters and noticed a huge difference between the west and east side of the state.

As for canvassing, the times I've been in Iowa (all Eastern) have been mostly Obama people and some Edwards folks. Running into a Hillary canvasser was as rare as seeing Bermuda shorts in the Iowa streets.

If you are in fact there, post some photos.

2. Wow, that's not good new for Hillary...

According to the information in this article, the Hillary
campaign's stats reveal that 60 percent of her supporters or likely
supporters have never bothered to caucus before.

Holy buckets! Statistically, this group is a bigger risk because
they have NEVER caucused.

What a gamble to spend so much time on these people!

This sounds like desperation! If she's spending that much time
on people who could care less about politics--you really have to
smell the panic.

My guess is that as the Hillary volunteers called down the precinct
voter rolls--they realized that nearly most of the likely caucus goers
are voting for other candidates. She decided to lift up some rocks
and see if she could find some supporters under there.

Wow. Just wow.

(((giddy)))
