It's Dumb To Schedule Primaries In the Winter

The weather could defeat all purposes, good and bad. We've had two nasty storms in the last month already, and the pattern for the winter suggests that there will be more coming on a regular basis this year. While that's good for the water supply, it's hell on public events that involve travel.

I suspect this alone will straighten out the primary procedure, once this watershed election is through. At least, I hope so.

1. Why not ban primaries until April before the elections

and have regionals?

Fuck this money machine that just continues to foist "top tier" candidates on us, chosen by small states with no population diversity.

2. They do this in the winter because in the farm states...

everyone is out on their tractors in the spring...and just plain forget trying to do this in the summer across the nation.

Winter has been around every year for milleniums...primaries are a fairly recent development.
