Hillary Clinton's campaign offering teen baby-sitters for Iowa caucusgoers
Meet Hillary Clinton's secret weapon in Iowa: baby-sitters.

In Thursday's caucuses, it all comes down to getting out the vote. And Clinton is going to the extremes, even lining up baby-sitters and day care centers for caucus-going moms.

"I really want to see Hillary Clinton elected, but I'm too young to caucus, so I'll baby-sit for someone else so they can," said Molly McGuire, a 14-year-old from Des Moines.

1. Maybe she could just give the moms cash.
You know, for the babysitter.

20. All you had to say was ALL the candidates are doing it.
But instead you behaved like a jerk. The statement about Hillary's campaign remains completely truthful however.

Is the truth what you don't like?

6. Copying Obama again
A DUer posted that Obama's campaign did this for the 1,000 house parties held a while back, which was pretty much a dry run for caucus night.

10. I was the one who posted that...

When I went to the Obama house party, they offered to watch the kids at the house
party. They didn't have a daycare center set up or anything. However, they were
very gracious and understanding about people who wanted to go, but were home
with their kids.

I'm not aware of any formal plans for the Obama campaign to provide childcare. However,
I have a babysitter coming to my home, and since there are so many Obama supporters
in my area--I have offered to "share" my babysitter so the parents can attend. I think
three sets of parents, in my precinct, are dropping off kids at my house.

I think when you have an amazing candidate, and very inspired and impressed supporters who
are very motivated to caucus--you all work together to get each other to the polls. That's what
I see happening in my neighborhood with Obama.

7. Obama's campaign is doing the same.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/01/01/iowa.2008/index.html?iref=hpmostpop

"The Clinton campaign was distributing hundreds of shovels to help clear the sidewalks of supporters which may be key to getting the first-time caucus goers to the polls. The Obama camp is organizing baby-sitting services for its supporters."

No matter which candidate you're talking about, it's all about getting out the vote.

15. They're clearing the sidewalks of supporters?
Will they pile the supporters up by the side of the road or in the front yard?

12. Ha
I had a liberal teacher in rural Florida who drove older folks to vote in the 1972 election...He wanted them to vote for McGovern...He suspected a lot of them voted for Nixon...

16. I heard a Clinton adviser talking about getting 90 year olds to
the polls. I think all the campaigns will do whatever is possible to get their voters out.

And no... Im not singling our HRC. Seems a lot like doing favors in return for votes. The whole process feels shady.
