Obama to young voters: Prove pundits wrong

“There’s been a lot of discussion from the pundits lately because they don’t think you’re going to show up,” Obama said to a crowd of more than 1,500 people in Coralville this afternoon. He said pundits say of young, first-time caucusgoers: "They’re not going to show up. They’re young people. Students never show up.’”

Some people in the crowd, which was heavily attended by college-aged people, booed.

“That’s what they said,” Obama responded. “They said, ‘a lot of them are independents. They never show up.’ Are you going to prove them wrong?”

The crowd erupted into loud cheers.

You had to know this was coming. With the other campaigns and pundits downplaying the DMR poll, saying there's no way turnout will be that high, you had to know Obama would use that to his advantage. The way I see it, the more people the better. And if they stick around next November, even better.

She's got alot riding on this, don't make her look like a fool.

Probably sounds better the way Obama says it.

The DMR has the best reputation of any poll and it's putting that on the line with this poll. If they get this wrong, they'll definitely lose some of that rep.
