I'm solidly for Obama right now
I know that a single posters opinion on his preference is of little consequence but I feel like something "happened" tonight. I perhaps might be being a bit melodramatic but I do think that if this country is going to get back on its feet and start anew in our post 9-11 world, Obama is going to be the symbolic catalyst that the American people will choose to signal this shift in consciousness.

No matter what camp you are in, entertain this thought of mine. If Obama were to actually win the presidential election in '08 and win handily, that at least could be considered a signal that the American people are ready for some new ideas and direction.

I want such a shift in ethos. I'm now for Obama. I'm glad that my policy views mesh pretty well with him too!

2. Well, think about it this way.
None of the Dem candidates, as prez,
would be as bad as Bush.

5. that's not enough.
He's got to have the goods for bringing about the change, not just talking about it. He hasn't demonstrated that yet.

I think the signal it would send to the world is something that could go a long way towards healing our standing in the world and ushering in a new era for america.

It would be like symbolically shaking off our Bush-induced hangover.

Let's face it, George Bush has done such damage to our nation over his administration that I think many of us are just looking to shake off the memories of this era and start fresh.

Obama is as anti-Bush as you can get (for a viable candidate) and therefore it will not be surprising if he pulls in record numbers of votes as a symbolic gesture (as the Reagan election was back in the 80's).

12. Solidly Obama here
I was always a fan, but Biden was my preferred candidate. HOwever, I've been following the "Big 3" in case he didn't make it. I'm very familiar and comfortable with Obama and couldn't be happier to see my second choice take Iowa.
