Thank you Howard Dean
I was at the "scream speech" and I was soooo hoping the tide would change then, but all things work for good and I would like to thank Howard Dean for starting this movement; this ground swell. The 50 state strategy is a clear winner and you have been a personal hero for me. For me, the turnout is a credit to you.

The Democrats are clearly walking in with a mandate and you are a pillar of the anti-war people powered platform. You showed that Democrats could "represent the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party" and build this party.

The news services are chanting a "passing of the torch" from one generation to the next. Sir, you may be a side note in history, but a note indeed.

Thanks.

5. Absolutely. He's the Godfather of all of this.
Just because he stood up when no one else- or very few- would.

It's leadership. Courage.

8. Howard Dean speaks for me
and he respects the civil rights of ALL Americans and would never welcome a bigot to host his campaign event and spew homophobic filth to a receptive audience of bigots and morons.

12. Glad you posted that.
I hear he looked tired tonight. We watched a movie instead. I think he has made more changes than we realize right now, and I remember the speech at John Hopkins and the video conference with college classes via satellite with C-Span. He laid out so much of what they had accomplished.

There are videos and partial transcripts. It is real change he has tried to bring, not just cosmetic change.

13. I don't think he's going to be a side note in American political history
I could see him engineering a sea change that would send Republicans to the salt mines for the next 40 years.

Howard Dean speaks for me! :D

(And btw, I was at the Val Air too! :D )

15. Howard Dean made a BIG note in my history
It took over thirty years for me to get really excited about a presidential candidate again and Dean gave that to me.

Thank you for starting this thread.

16. Howard Dean is not a side note. He's a symphony.
Edited on Fri Jan-04-08 01:27 AM by Capn Sunshine
He's gotten millions of us involved in the system from the ground level, something sorely lacking before he articulated his 50 state strategy.

Plus, Obama's campaign actually listened to us when we told them what happened in Iowa, the mistakes we made, and ran an awesome ground game based on that. It was the ability of our campaign at the micro level to produce because of what we learned with Howard that allowed us to hand Hillary's inside-the-beltway campaign organization a good old fashioned ass-kicking.

Pastiche :hi:
