Anne Selzer, DMR pollster dissed Edwards on Zogby's show yesterday afternoon!
Edited on Fri Jan-04-08 12:57 PM by calipendence
Anne Selzer seems like she's part of the same mold of other entities at the DMR which exposed their pro-corporatist stances when they earlier dismissed Edwards as not willing to "work with corporations" as the reason why they didn't endorse him earlier...

She was the last guest on James Zogby Viewpoint show on Link TV yesterday, which was still before the caucus results had come out at all.

They were comparing her polls with Zogby's brother's polls and talking about a lot of different candidates, and had successfully avoided in talking about Edwards at all until the last call of the show came in... Here's the transcript at that point:

Zogby: Let's go to Kentucky for our last call in this segment. Kentucky?

Kentucky caller: Yes sir...

Zogby: Your question...

Kentucky caller: One of the things that I don't understand is why don't the lower class and the middle class in the economic pyramid understand what the very rich are always doing. They're always keeping their heels on the necks of these people, they can barely make a living...

Zogby: (cutting him off) Thank you. We're out of time caller, but I think it's an interesting question. Has the economic issue, and in particular this kind of emerging "class anchor", certainly reflected in the John Edwards campaign, and now Mike Huckabee as well, is that playing as a strength to candidates in Iowa? Are voters angry?

<pause>

...And we have less than a minute Anne.

Anne Selzer: I don't think voters are angry on the Democratic side. I think they're enthusiastic, and they're eager, and I think John Edwards has made a mistake, by coming across as too angry.

---------

Sheesh, corporate shillstress! Trying to get a dig in at Edwards right before the caucuses started! Hey Anne, I think there WERE a few angry Iowans out there that outpolled your paper's corporate choice in Clinton last night!
