Hillary only won the 65+ age group last night
It was among young caucus-goers, however, where Obama truly carried the evening. Attendees under 30 voted 57 percent for Obama, compared to only 14 percent for Edwards and 11 percent for Clinton.

Among Gen X-ers - 30 to 44 year-olds - Obama received 42 percent to Edwards' 21 percent and Clinton's 23 percent.

In contrast to Obama's strong support among the young, Edwards and Clinton appealed to older voters. Edwards won Baby Boomers with 31 percent, to 28 percent for Clinton and 27 percent for Obama.

Clinton handily won the senior vote with 45 percent of those 65 and older, compared to 22 percent and 18 percent for Edwards and Obama respectively.

2. When you deal with numbers, be very carefull...
Obama got 42% of the young crowd(that maybe he arranged transportation for).

Edwards/Hillary, presently tied, got 44%.

Food for thought.

4. Everyone provides transportation
for any age group. All the campaigns do. I don't see the point of brining that up.

3. I don't get it.
Why are voters of 65 so drawn to Hillary? Is it because she's familiar? Maybe she represents the establishment of the party that spoke about almost nothing other than social security and prescription drugs for seniors for nearly 10 years.

Its easy to see why young people are drawn to Obama.

5. The difference between emotion and reason.
Obams captured those who can be captured by emotion.

The older people look at the country going into recession, the country
at war and issues and they think who looks like they can deal with
all these horrible conditions.

Some pundits I respect explain it this way
obama is a blank canvas. The young people place their hopes on him.
There is no evidence whatsoever if he even agrees with their hopes.
Of course, there is no evidence he disagrees. It is the young
people placing individual dreams and hopes. The Problem for the
older person--what does Obama believe. What is it he plans
to change???

7. Obama has said plenty about

what he believes and will do. That criticism is a tired and discredited cliche. If anyone still doesn't know what Obama believes its because they don't want or care to know.

6. You're right - familiarity
and respect because of her role as First Lady and now US senator.
Loyalty factors in as well with some older voters.

I'm in that age group myself and while I think highly of HRC's intelligence and competence, I don't like her politics, particularly IWR and Kyle-Lieberman.
