This is the one post that the other candidates will not want Hillary to read
My secret 1-2-3 formula for the Goddess of Peace to bounce back and regain the upper hand:

Part One: Don't go on the offense, dammit. Instead, do this
1) She can't even think about going on the offensive towards Obama. That would be the worst thing she could do. In fact, she should do exactly the opposite. She needs to run around in NH telling everyone how wonderful Obama is, how he deserves all the credit in the world for royally kicking her ass in Iowa, and how she thinks the world of him, even though she'd be lying through her teeth. If Hillary says enough good things about Obama and keeps repeating it over and over whenever someone asks her about him, the voters will automatically start hating Obama for being such a wonderful guy. It's human nature. Trust me. This strategy works everytime.

Part Two: She's already proven how tough she is. Now she's gotta show the other side of her, too
2) She needs to also start showing the softer side of her, the "motherly" side if you will, and I don't mean running around with Chelsea for chrise sake, or Bill either, as much as I think the world of him. What I mean is, besides showing she's tough and ready to rumble, she also needs to start showing she's motherly toward the common folk, the voters. We already know she's spent the last 7 years running around proving she's tough enough to run the country LIKE A MAN, just so she can be accepted in a MAN'S WORLD...for politics sake...but the country wants to also see the nurturing side of her as well. She's got the gift, the gift of nurturing, yeah, and if she flaunts it more often, the people will melt and go "ahhhhHHH, we want a WOMAN in the White House, THIS woman."

Part Three: This is the clincher
3) Men cry all the fucking time. Shedding a tear or two is the new macho in-thing thing to do. So I want her to cry at least once in the near future, too, even if she fakes it. Now...I don't mean she should cry to make people feel sorry for her, that would be pitiful. Here's how it'll work: Next time she's doing an interview about people she met on the campaign trail, she can make like she's talking about some unfortunate soul she met who's down on his luck and then just let the tears start flowing while she's talking about it...grab a tissue and wipe the eyes a bit...and then regain her composure. Once the country sees that kind of emotion, followed by control, she'll have them in the palm of her hands.

In essence, Hillary has to stand up and tell the people that they don't need another Mother Fucker like Bush looking over them. She has to convince the people that what they really need is a mother looking OUT for them. She can't let the other ones out-mother her. If she follows this formula, the White House will be hers for the taking.

I can't believe I'm doing this for free. :smoke:

If she goes negative, she might as well pack it up and go home. that would be the death nell of her campaign...

I've got some good ideas for him that could work, too

I'm also open to offers from Edwards.

A fake. A fraud. Someone who acts the way you want, just to be elected.

NO THANK YOU.

If she can't win by being herself, then she doesn't deserve to.

disclaimer: I am fully aware that this is how politics work. I don't have to like it though, or go along with it.

19. Oh, I know this...
I usually base my decision on who is acting the least. Back in my newbie days, I voted for Perot. I KNEW he wasn't acting. Turns out he was nutz, but... I was still right about the acting thing. :D

Ok, I revise my statement. *Most* politicians are actors. I think I have to agree with you that Perot wasn't. It's hard to fake that.

Here's the deal, see?

12. that was always MY thoughts on how she could do well in Iowa
but i didn't want to post it because i did not support her.

take Obama praising Biden on civil rights. it made Obama look good. but Hillary had such a hard time saying something positive about Obama when asked.

they also jump to every negative thing in the news. even if it's a poll that came out where Obama might be 2 points ahead. they feel that means they must go all out negative on Obama.

they were too focused on making sure Obama didn't win that they ignored attacks from those who did attack her.

Edited on Fri Jan-04-08 11:00 PM by cryingshame
You do not fuck with a Mother. They are fierce and protective. Unafraid.

So am I am not talking about baking cookies or tidying up the house.

And frankly, wouldn't it be great if a woman politician came out and found a pithy way to say "it's a man's world and look how screwed up things have gotten?"

And here is the final bit- corporations are like teenagers. They MUST be regulated for their own good. They haven't developed they maturity or proven their responsibility to engage in business without oversight.

21. I disagree.
She needs to keep doing what she's doing, keep it close, play Edwards and Obama against each other (maybe even donate money to the Edwards campaign to keep him in there drawing votes away from Obama), and ride her "establishment choice" super delegate lead to the nomination, even if she never wins a single primary.

Cynical? Hell yeah. But Hillary didn't get where she is by being an idealist, and my strategy would certainly be a lot truer to the core of her being than yours (even if yours does make a lot of sense).
