Give me your votes if you can't get 15%...
Let's gang up against one candidate over another...

Seems to me that all it does is show that we really do have a 3-person race for the democratic nomination--that Biden, Dodd, Richardson, and Kucinich (and Gravel) are not going to get the nomination which three have recognized and pulled out.

I know that the "win" gives Obama momentum--except for the fact that a primary is not at all similar to a caucus. I also know that Obama doing so well in white America and with young folks and women is a problem for Clinton and Edwards.

I just don't think Iowa means all that the MSM indicates that it means.

With all that being said, I was really for Biden first, then Edwards, but I like Obama and I will support whoever is the dem. nominee.

Am I terribly incorrect?

1. These votes are not final from my understanding
It looks like a 4 step process before the delegates are determined for each candidate.

They have precinct caucuses that elect delegates to the county convention.

The county delegates elect delegates to the district convention.

The district delegates elect delegates to the state convention.

The state convention delegates vote for the delegates to the national convention.

Unless I am mistaken, In states with primaries the election determines the delegates to the state convention. And then the primary delegates vote for the national convention delegates for their congressional district.
