Another politician cashes in on the American people

Today, Senator Trent Lott announced his new lobbying firm.

I'm not opposed to a guy making a buck off of his experience; but, this is what gets me. Lott spends years helping to build up this gridlock system we have now and has claimed for years of how frustrating it is that he can not get anything done.

So, what does he do? He forms a bi-partisan lobbying group with a democratic ex-senator from Louisiana and now begins peddling his experience at getting issues though Washington. In other words, as a public servant he could not get anything done and it was not his fault because of the gridlock....yet now, in private practice, if you are a paying client, the "Breaux Lott Influence Peddling Shop" can get your special interest issues pushed to the top of the pile.

This is the kind of crap that pisses people off.
