Failed White House bid could boost Dodd among Democrats
Though Sen. Christopher Dodd's White House ambitions were dashed in the leadoff Iowa caucuses, he could be an attractive choice for a Democratic president looking to fill top administration posts, according to some political analysts.
"If a Democrat is in the White House next year, he's got to be toward the top of the list of people who would be considered for one of the major cabinet positions," said Ken Dautrich, a University of Connecticut public policy professor.

Despite his poor Iowa showing, Dodd's presidential bid probably enhanced his stature among Democrats across the country, according to Dautrich.

"He's solidified his position as a kind of elder in the party, a diehard Democrat," Dautrich said. "He's got to be at the top of the list for one of the senior cabinet positions, just given the way he's conducted himself through this campaign."

1. No doubt about it
I'd favor Dodd over Biden for Secretary of State because he's as knowlegeable without being nearly as gaffe-prone.

4. I'm with you on that one
we need a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate next year so we need Dodd, he's one of the best fighters we have there and we need Lieberman's ass out!

I wouldn't mind seeing him as Majority Leader.

5. Make him head of the Election Assistance Commission, so he can improve
on his grand work of fucking up U.S. democracy forevermore, with electronic voting run on 'TRADE SECRET,' PROPRIETARY programming code, owned and controlled by rightwing Bushite corporations--a project he began with his close work with the biggest crooks in the Anthrax Congress, Tom Delay and Bob Ney, in 2002, on the so-called "Help America Vote Act," the fascist coup that fast-tracked unverifiable, Bushite corporate-controlled vote counting all over the country in time for the 2004 emperor's crowning. Dodd's leftist views are hot air. He is a Bilderberg Group (global corporate predator) operative. And, really, our Corporate Rulers need a ruthless elections czar to complete their privatization of vote counting for total control of our election outcomes, against citizen resistance. He's their man. And any candidate who wants to get (s)elected in 2008 should signal now that they understand who decides who gets to win, and will not defy Diebold/ES&S's choices. What better way than to hint that Christopher Dodd will get the nod for EAC chair? Professor Dautrich certainly seems to know how his bread gets buttered. Our candidates should get smart like him, and not be stupid like Dennis Kucinich and John Edwards, who put themselves out of the running for president by mentioning the rigged voting system.

Really, I think that's the chief reason why the war profiteering corporate news monopolies have blackballed Dennis Kucinich--cuz he called them on this e-voting bullshit. And why they're now starting to blackball John Edwards--cuz he has said some things as well--not as much as Kucinich (who introduced a bill to require paper ballots in federal elections), but enough to get his second place showing in Iowa DISREGARDED. Iowa--a caucus state--is the last real vote we'll see. New Hampshire does optical scan voting, a system that is not as riggable as touchscreen voting, but still fairly easy to rig. In the rest of the country, about 1/3 of the vote will be completely unverifiable (touchscreen), and the remainder a mixed bag of mostly electronic optical scan (including absentee and all paper ballots being scanned into the electronic system--NOT hand-counted), touchscreens and central tabulators, all run on 'TRADE SECRET,' PROPRIETARY programming code, owned and controlled by rightwing Bushite corporations, and not just mildly rightwing and mildly Bushite, but outright partisan and far rightwing 'christian' nutball.

Thank you, Senator Dodd! And don't you worry, Senator--although you couldn't mount a viable campaign to position yourself to be Diebolded onto the ticket, the global corporate predators you shill for will find a way to reward you. I can't wait to see what it is.

7. He deserves to be Majority Leader.
Much better than Daschle and Reid.
