Wooing NH Voters One at a Time
Monday January 7, 2008 10:31 AM

By CHARLES BABINGTON

Associated Press Writer

BERLIN, N.H. (AP) - With 36 hours left in the New Hampshire presidential primary, candidates and their families were still wooing voters one at a time.

On Sunday afternoon, Donna Jordan approached Democrat John Edwards' wife, Elizabeth, at an event here and asked why she should vote for Edwards rather than Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y.

Jordan, 51, has breast cancer, and the medicine that costs her $110 a month in the United States can be had for $15 a month in Canada, not far from this northern New Hampshire town.

Elizabeth Edwards, who also has breast cancer, explained her husband's health proposals and told her that Clinton ``has accepted campaign money from the drug companies,'' Jordan said in an interview. ``That was the key".
