2. I'm not in on the details of this year's primary season...
but a year or so ago people who are interested in such things were looking at the rules and saying it was setting up to be the craziest convention since 1968, regardless of who the candidates were.

go arounds with you back then. So, is Wes ok now that he's on board w/ the Clintons?

14. Ed is gaga for Ed........This is his business
and he is trying to climb into the selected pundit bubble. He is no different than anyone else in the work force, as we all strive for success. He's a pundit and behaves accordingly. He is not a journalist nor is Matthews and the rest of the lot....we don't always keep that in mind because we too are hooked.

27. Yes you're right,
Hardball's an hour of biased punditry, but that fact doesn't make Tweety's or Ed's tactics less obnoxious.

And it's not genius regardless of who's doing it. But that Bill Clinton would is no surprise. I don't think that there's nothing that he won't stoop to. In fact, I doubt that there's very much that he hasn't.

He needs to let the American people speak. The jackass. He needs to go see if Poopy is lonely and needing company.

That makes two, along with the unpresidential way she couldn't keep her cool during the debate.

17. Funny how some DUers can't form a complex thought.
So people can't disagree with Ed on some matters, but agree with him on others?

15. This is rumor and speculation
I have no doubt that the Clintons are calling in every favor they have and want as many super delegates to declare for them. But, I assume that Obama and Edwards may be doing this too. However, superdelegates can always change who they are for.

Let's say the delegates assigned due to primaries and caucuses have a clear leader. There will be pressure on them to move to the choice of the voters. I can think of no greater nightmare than if say JRE wins the most delegates and say, Richardson wins due to superdelegates. This will be a disaster for the party. Now, many superdelegates are people up for election - I assume that would be a deterence to their voting against the people.

20. My God, what is wrong with calling in favors...?
That's politics. Reminds me of those back rooms I described on another thread here just moments ago. That's the way politics was worked years ago.

And you know what? Dem dere days may be gone for sure, but what has replaced them is worse than they were on their worst days.

BTW, super delegates can change their minds unless they are committed up to the first round in the convention. So they can and should be lobbied by any serious candidate. You can be sure that the Clinton campaign isn't the only one doing so.

25. Nothing - unless it subverts the will of the voters.
But to some candidates, it's just a winner-take-all "game," I guess.

But, from what I've heard, not one is looking for a brokered convention - just support.

24. I don't believe that
I don't think Clinton would do that. If the voters speak, she'll listen. She won't try to pull some backroom tricks, especially not to take the nomination away from the first black candidate. She'd alienate all black voters, all young voters, all Independents, all crossover republicans.

It would be a disaster.
