When will you Edwards supporters start backing Obama?
I noticed that Obama was the second choice for most Edwards supporters here. My question is: assuming you were a Super Tuesday voter and Edwards had not won any of the first 4 primaries, would you consider voting for Obama on Super Tuesday?

6. Assuming you are correct and Obama gets the nomination
I will support him following the convention or should Edwards bow out.
Not before it is inevitable because it isn't at this point. Obama has only one one contest and the media is going to give him a second one tomorrow.
I am guessing they already have the headlines written and will be broadcasting them about 9:05 PM EST.

My question to you is when will the media give Edwards the time he deserves? He did place 2nd in Iowa! Yet all we hear is Obama, Clinton, Clinton, Obama.

28. Clinton is yet to place above 3rd place yet she get equal air time as Obama
The MSM is making this a race between Clinton and Obama. They have left out the others.

See the charts in this post as proof...
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x2603591

You are letting the MSM tell the country who to vote for when they only give the air time to the candidates of their choice.

It is is about the support they receive, then the air time should be given to Edwards that Clinton is receiving.

8. I'm neither an Obama or Edwards supporter at present, but y'all need to chill.
Obama has won one caucus so far, and for many reasons, I consider that a good thing. But it's NOT the nomination. If he wins tomorrow, it will make him look even better, but it's still not a done deal.

If you guys get arrogant and over-confident now, you're going to look just like the Hillbots. And I believe the Iowa results had a LOT to do with the public perception of Queen Hillary and her "inevitability" trip.

13. Speaking for myself
I live in Florida, so my vote does not really mean much, but I will answer anyway. After Iowa, I contemplated this very question myself. Obama is my second choice, Edwards my first, and honestly my preference between the two is not a wide gap. I would be quite happy seeing Obama as the nominee. Looking at the trends and positions of the 3 major candidates, it was hard for me to see an easy path for Edwards to win, and as of now, only an Obama collapse (most likely of the media's concoction) could allow Edwards to win. The question basically boils down to, when does Edwards no longer have a good enough chance that supporting him might reduce the chance of Obama winning instead of Clinton. If it were just a two person race with Obama and Edwards, I would never stop supporting Edwards, as I would know that Obama would win if not Edwards. In the end I decided to let someone else make this decision for me, Edwards himself. I will throw my support to Obama, including a full donation, if and when Edwards withdraws from the race.

22. FL will be stripped of its delegates
The race here is pointless. All I see are Republican ads, annoying ones at that, and the Democrats are not going to be allowed to campaign here. Either Clinton will get a hollow victory here, or everyone will jump on the Obama bandwagon. In the end, the only way the FL delegation will be seated is if it is inconsequential to the result. Meaning if Obama wins with FL and MI not being counted, but loses if they are, they will not be counted. If he wins either way they might seat them, but then its pointless.

Just because he won Iowa and just because enough New Hampshire voters are willing to let that change their votes, I'm not changing mine.

I'll be happy to support him in the general assuming he wins. There is a long road ahead, though. New Hampshire and Iowa don't speak for me.

This question gets asked so often, but what about Richardson supporters or Kucinich supporters? Those two are longer shots than Edwards.

Personally, I'm with Edwards until the end. His campaign stop with the Sarkysian family that was on Cspan yesterday was the most emotional campaign event that I've ever seen. This message of what is at stake if no one stands up to the health insurance industry needs to be heard for as long as possible.
