Poll: Obama losing the very important swing state of Ohio to McCain

Survey USA has come up with a poll matching Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama to several GOP'ers, and it's not looking good for our likely nominee in the very important state of Ohio.

Even after finishing 4th in Iowa, John McCain leads Obama, who won 1st, by 7% here. Can you imagine how this lead will change if McCain goes on to win New Hampshire and the Republican nomination?

The link to the poll can be found in this other thread in which an Obama supporter was celebrating the fact that he beats McCain in the tiny state of Iowa, which has 7 electoral college votes as opposed to Ohio's 20.

yeah, he loses to McCain but then so does Hillary. But give it time he hasn't even campaigned in Ohio yet and Hillary is still more well known there than he is. Obama-fever will catch on in Ohio too. But he does pick up Iowa big time against all the GOP candidates. That is more telling because they all have campaigned there. (btw, I mean these comments primarily for the OP)

he just gets stronger.

The press and McCain will have the same problem that Hillary currently has; it's hard to dog out a personable candidate who is serious about helping us save us from ourselves....and everything there is about OBama, he's written about it in his books, and there ain't no there there.....not with the number of young people (who emphasize with his youth years)coming out to vote. And the greatest thing about it is that all of the voters know he is Black and they know he's got a "funny" name. So, whatever is left won't be much.

Plus, Barack will have the funds to fight....and that is a big part of the key in this country, unfortunately!

12. McCain has already lost by suggesting we stay in Iraq for 100 years

and flip flopping on his hate for the Religious Right. He was against Pat Robertson before he was for him.

McCain has flip flopped on so many issues and in this year of "change" he is toast!

IF Obama is the nominee, I'm starting to realize that the guy is really smart. I watched the debates (ABC) again, and what I saw was intelligence not surpassed on that stage in Obama. He was able to say in less words exactly what the others would drone on about. He was able to "own" all that he spoke. He rarely said "as President, I would...."...he consistently simply stated what needs to be done. It was fascinating on 2nd view....because there was so much I didn't pick up the first time around. He was calm, cool, humorous, confident, and certainly the leader in the room....IMO.
