Somehow we have to defuse Big Media's stranglehold on politics
I don't care who you support for president. This crap has got to stop.

I'm an Edwards guy, and I'm really pissed after seeing yet another segment on Hardball portraying this as a two person race between Obama and Clinton. This after seeing CNN do the same thing yesterday. It's especially annoying because Elizabeth Edwards chewed Tweety out for ignoring her husband last week. I guess nothing sinks through his thick skull.

But if I were a Clinton supporter I'd be pissed at the media pile on that's currently going on against her. If I were an Obama supporter, I'd like the media right now, but I'm sure his backers will soon have reason to be pissed at unfair coverage soon.

If I were a Richardson or Kucinich supporter I'd be absolutely livid at the total blackout of any news about them.

Walter Cronkheit once said that if you have all sides mad at you, you'tre probably doing something right. But he was talking from a different set of journalistic values, in which the truth sometimes hurts.

The media has become lazy, insulated and arrogent. They decide on a storyline, and then chase each other's tails repeating the same old crap they hear from their peers. That, plus the pressure to find the sexiest stories to jack up the ratings.

I'm not conspiratorial, so I don't think everyone in the MSM is in a mode of manipulating the election with some specific goal.

But somehow we have to break up this bottleneck they've created, so that campaigns are actually covered in a way that advances democracy.

2. What do you expect?
This is the same group that Do-si-doed us into war. If they don't have a story, they create one.

3. As a Kucinich supporter
I have to say that I don't give a damn anymore. It is not up to us. It was pretty apparent before but now they don't even try to hide it. I come here for news, read a little, post when something grabs my interest but the campaign? Have fun y'all.
