1. I am kind of rooting for Romney tomorrow because I think McCain is the tougher opponent. nt

7. McCain
If there is one candidate on their side that we can hang the Bush albatross around their neck, it is McCain. Regardless of our nominee, if the election is a Democrat versus four more years of Bush, then we will certainly win. Add to that he has hinted at only running for one term....I just can not see him beating anyone.

Hey, that's it!! Let's nominate someone who can't win in November!! The Dems have NEVER done that before... :sarcasm:

5. I think I can kick Romney's punk ass.
McCain is immune to pain.

We're talking about a fist fight, right?

6. McCain
He's old, tired and his politics are basically rehashes of what we've had for the past 7 years. More war. More war. More war.

Romney is a new face and might be able to convince voters he's different. Even if he's not.

9. You are right. I forgot about McCain's 100 year Iraq war thing.
I probably should have voted for McCain.

10. McCain was
the most qualified Republican in 2000 and he still is. He paid his dues in Vietnam. He would probably make a fine President. Therefore it's Mittens.

13. Yeah, McCain would make a fine President. Except for the 100-year-war
thing and the fact that he's emotionally unstable and really kinda mean. And a Republican. Are you sure you belong here?

14. That is one of the dumbest things I have read around here
"He would probably make a fine President."

Yeah, if your idea of fine is Bush+senility.

12. Romney for sure
The media in general has been in love with McCain for years; I don't see them changing the way they act regarding him due to a Presidential run. The media seems comparatively neutral regarding Romney. Additionally, a Romney run would likely cause the religious right (anti-Mormon bigots) to stay home in force, and his numerous flip-flops are just waiting to become common knowledge to the general public if the Democrats actually run a decent campaign. I'm kind of surprised this poll is even close.

19. You've got a point; I just don't think
that McCain has much in the way of skeletons in the closet like Giuliani. The worst I can see them using against him is his tendency towards anger, but in his case, they might just decide to spin that as "passion." The fact that McCain is a warmonger who became a Bush ass-kisser even after * stabbed him in the back wouldn't be played as a negative by the media; they're into that sort of behavior.

16. I think the only way to beat McCain is if you can get him to blow his stack
but this time around, this guy has his shit together. I think he's on some kind of tranquilizers or other kind of relaxants for each debate, he looks so cool, calm, and collected. He's even showing a sense of humor like when he throttled Romney and laughed at him after.

McCain, IMO, is definitely the last guy we want to go up against, especially if it's him against Obama. The experience factor would really play into things if that's the lineup.
