Despite the DU supporters of other candidates who hate Obama. . .
. . .one of the coolest things about this campaign is the most people are happy for him. I know more than a few people who don't think he can win so they support other candidates. I've talked to them since Iowa and while many still support someone else they are starting to believe in him and most people, including a few Republicans I know, say that an Obama victory (both in the primary and general) would be an amazing and moving thing and they would be happy to see him win.

GOBAMA!

8. That shit was inexcusable and unfortunately SOME supporters of EVERY CANDIDATE are assholes
If you have the search function look through the archives and you will see that I roundly criticized the Obama campaign over and over again about it.

If you want to define Obama by the McClurkin controversy so be it, I'm not going to try to change your mind. Hopefully Senator, Democratic nominee or President Obama will eventually take the necessary actions for many to move past this horrible situation.

10. I don't define him by it
but I fear he defined himself by it. McClurkin is personal to me because I very much could be dead today due to the whole notion of not being able to change. Frankly, my vote is unlikely to matter and thus my time is also unlikely to matter given my state. But I do hope I am wrong about this but I just don't think I am. I don't see Obama using his bully pulpit to advocate for ENDA or hate crimes.

3. I don't hate Obama
I do think many of his supporters here do him a diservice. I also will not be honestly happy for him without an apology for McClurkin. I will vote for him, though it will likely do him no good as I live in NC.

4. I am one of them! Happy for him - and the new voters he brought in!

And, at least on this forum, I haven't seen arrogance from Obama's followers that other have displayed.

9. I'm surprised how many Democrats up here
show their true colors. Some of the post on Obama are clearly racially motivated. And that kind of makes me sad. I expect it from the Repuke boards. But not here. Its really sad

11. I Don't HATE him!
Just as I don't HATE any of the candidates. I haven't decided on a candidate, although I'm leaning Edwards, Clinton, Obama, in that order.

It's difficult coming here and seeing ALL the negativity directed at OUR CANDIDATES.

12. NObama.
How can a candidate that expounds how much he represents 'change' flip-flop and vote FOR the Patriot Act. That is the kind of 'change' ONLY a rethug should be proud of. Or could it be a democratic candidate that sold-out to attract the rethug neocon voters?
