We're all Anti-Hillary Psychopaths!!!
Edited on Mon Jan-07-08 11:01 PM by gdaerin
because to not support hillary would just be psychotic and most of all sexist, am I right? Of course, to not support Obama, it's not racism, it's just smart! (this is meant to be sarcastic by the way!)

Look, neither statements are true. Why do you wonder Obama has not played the race card? Because, he's not running on his race, it would be irresponsible, and, it's not at all what his campaign is about!

However, what about Hillary? Hillary has both played the sex card and naively assumed she would win women's votes just because she's a woman. That's a very sexist assumption by the way, in all definitions of the term, which means she's a sexist.

Also to assume men are more prone to being sexist, this is also a sexist thought. And, I'm quite sure Hillary's got a number of aides giving her Specifically sexist advice because she sexistly expects us to be sexist!

It's all so very insulting.

I can admit, when I first started researching everyone, I was sexistly biased towards Hillary (exactly the sexist reaction out of women she was and is expecting from all of us women!). However, I don't like being insulted, and she insults me, on a regular basis! I put up with it and tried to ignore it as long as I could, because she's a woman. But, she lost me, because she tried to bully me, because she lied, because she's unethical. Really, the list is longer, but I can't go on she depresses me, I have to go get my Obama fix now!

2. If one doesn't see the overt sexism on this board in regards to Clinton, they are either blind
or too partisan to see it. I couldn't care less if you like her or don't, it's sexist bullshit, and it's disgusting.

Obama has played the race card as much as Clinton has played the gender card.

YOur thread was right for many on DU.

17. Well, I don't know, I'll tell you a little about myself
so that you can understand the demographic,

I'm a woman, I'm in grad school, I'm married, voted against Bush both times, ummmm, Leo? :) I don't know what else you want to know! I wouldn't say he sought me out, it was rather the other way around!

10. "Why do you wonder Obama has not played the race card? Because, he's not running on his race..."
Uh, sorry, but I disagree. He IS running as a black man. That is an unintended race card. He IS making history for that reason. There is no other reason why he would be qualified to run - a US senator of 2 years with no other federal office experience.

And Hillary Clinton IS running on the sex card. She IS running as a woman with far more experience than Obama.

The first black and the first woman as major candidates. They are a pair of cards without a doubt.

14. Misunderstanding
What I mean when I say "playing the sex card" is when a candidate says, "you should vote for me because I'm male/female"

I mean the same thing when I refer to a candidate playing the race card.

Now, Hillary toward's the end of the recent NH debate attempted to snag Obama's "change" slogan and make it her own while at the same time blatantly playing the sex card by saying, and this is a direct quote:

"I embody change. I think having the first woman president is a huge change"

Now, translated into a simpler form, she was saying this:

My campaign is about change. That change is that I'm a woman.

That's the sex card. No doubt about it. If you would like to enter into a real debate with me, provide a quote where Obama has done the same. It would have to be a quote where he mentioned his campaign And his race at the same time in support of his campaign.

18. I already stated my premise.........
Obama is running because he is black. He has no other qualifications or experience other than his American Idol mega-appeal. And that is why he is winning. He doesn't have to state the race card. He is wearing it.

And yes, Hillary's sex reflects enormous change, as does Obama's race.

19. respectfully disagree
Also, arguably it would be a bigger change to have an African American president than a woman president, speaking in terms of discrimination.
