Here's the 3-point plan for how Obama will Unite Red and Blue America into One America.
1. He's already proven he attracts independent voters and open-minded Republicans. He will prove it again in NH as the majority of independents flock to him and NOT McCain.

2. He really is energizing young and old alike. It's the young that will expand our base the most significantly. It's a great time to be an American.

3. African American and minority vote....Obama will bring millions more into the processs.

That's how!

1. Clinton did all of those things
Look at the unity the Republicans gave us when he was in the Oval Office.

3. Why is it a great time to be an American?
Because Obama might beat Hillary or because Huckabee might become president?

11. Because Americans are becoming hopeful again
Edited on Tue Jan-08-08 01:50 AM by calteacherguy
and young and old alike are becoming energized believing that politics really can change and we can be one country again!

It's more than a candidate, it's a movement! It's a great time to be an American!

36. Any evidence?
Is there any evidence that America is becoming more hopeful? The war continues and the economy doesn't look good. Consumer confidence certainly doesn't point to this vague idea of increased hopefulness.

A small percentage of Iowans showed up and supported a candidate who holds big pep rallies where he shouts the words change and hope repeatedly. I for one don't feel all that hopeful.

22. Why did she take money from Rupert Murdoch?
Do you seriously believe he doesn't expect anything in return?

Really. Why is she in bed with Murdoch?

23. How much did she take from Rupert himself and how much from Newscorp?
And check for Obama too.....
Who cares what Rupert expects....take his money and laugh at him...you don't actually think she likes the bastard do you...because that is a real stretch.

Do you really think he's stupid enough to give her money--and a fundraiser--if he weren't going to get something for it? THAT is a stretch.

31. I assume she took it because she needs lots of money. I only point out Obama
because we have 2 of the leading 2 candidates with money from Murdoch....and Edwards has PERSONALLY Profited from tragedy.....
None of it looks too good, but I guess we have to stand behind our candidates.

Why did Hillary?

candidate took money from Murdoch....actually JE has done much worse.
PERSONAL PROFIT off of others devastation....show me where Hillary has done that.

35. First of all, she did not personally make profit from that. Second JE was a CO-SPONSER of the IWR
and lastly, I don't even care....I like Hillary more, but like John Edwards....all candidates have their flaws.....I do draw the line at Obma though.

7. 1. No universal health care
Obama is such a uniter he ceded the right of each American to have health care before the debate even began in Congress. One shudders to think what further Obama would surrender if elected on health care. And this is just one issue!

4. I liked Bill Clinton, but...
as far as "open minded" Repubs and independents, he did no such thing. If Ross Perot hadn't been in the race, we woulda most likely had Daddy Bush for a second time, and Bob Dole or whoever else may have come to the fore the next go 'round.

5. Okay, good points (Besides 3 which is already blue America???)....
But he is naive to think that the GOP and right wing media will work with him..... they do NOT want to get along and unite.... and remember how little say the voters have once the election is over.

I said that Obama is in for a rude surprise if he thinks that the GOP Wants to compromise and work with us....ie "bring red states and blue states together"
Did you even read my post, or just want to attack?

13. Really/ so what does he stand for? Aside from the fact that he
has some Afro heritage, I can't tell you one thing that he represents. Not universal healthcare, not getting out of Iraq, nothing. Apparently he thinks Queers are bad but aside from that, what does he offer? OBTW, I don't think queers are bad so you lost me there.

15. How do you know they'll vote for BO in the GE???
Sure they might cross party lines to boost Barack to keep Hillary from getting as many votes.

But how can you be sure that they will stay with Obama through November??

And by the way Bill Clinton tried this bi-partisan tactic, and see how well that worked out for our country.

The republicons WILL never work with the Democratic Party. It's NOT in their best interest. As in Special Interest.

Even as we are gathered here today the republicons are working against the Democratic Party. The Road Block Republicons received their marching orders from Grover back when we won in 06, to keep ALL legislation from getting through congress. He's been pretty successful so far.

I don't see the nation coming together like you have stated. I HOPE I'm wrong.
