Obama Will Win Big Today in NH, What is Hillary's Path to the Nomination?
He may even win by double digits.

Polls like the ones that are coming just don't lie.

Can she make a stand in SC?

Can she stick it out until Feb 5th, and then pull out some big wins?

Is she going to start having money problems?

I am a Hillary supporter (also an IL resident that loves Obama) and have been for a long time, but after this impending loss in NH, I don't see a good way for Clinton to get back on track or even have a realistic plan at winning enough delegates to force a second ballot, let alone win outright.

Edwards is already done, it looks like Obama might just sweep this thing away.

or something...

Hillary's not going anywhere. She will end up with the most delegates. Mark my words.

4. There aren't any pivotal states that he has a chance at winning for one.
Or any states really, for that matter.

Unless there is a close second to Obama in NH tonight, I doubt anyone can stop his momentum.

3. Obama is predicted to walk away with SC. Clinton has been ahead in NV.
Though I don't know what the numbers are now. Obama does have some key union endorsements there but NV remains Clinton's best chance at this point.

7. Staking hopes on a not particularly delegate rich Nevada
Doesn't seem like a clear path to the nomination.

IMO, she needs close seconds in NH and SC to be any sort of competitive.

11. Guiliani has a big state strategy that could actually work.
Hillary can guarantee wins in NY NJ ect.

She obviously won't win IL.

CA will be competitive.

Giuliani can afford big early losses because he can almost guarantee big state wins across the board, Hillary no longer can.

I know she'd be the favorite daughter candidate, but I'm not sure if the same phenomenon we're seeing in SC - black voters moving to Obama - wouldn't happen there also.

that since NY awards delegates by congressional district, Obama will choose to compete in some districts and thinks he can win 40% of delegates.

18. She won't...
I think she's getting fatigued, but she will carry on. I don't personally know anyone, in my circle of friends,(about 75?) who is going to vote for Obama, or Edwards, so I'd say she will win Florida easily. Of course there's that delegate issue, but it will get resolved.

16. Focus on closed primaries
Some Clinton campagin officials were apparently considering refocusing resources to only closed primaries, ie.., only registered Dems can vote, and no same-day registration. The theory was that Obama was getting so much support from independents that those states were their best bets. Zogby poll today has Obama leading among Dems by 6%, though. Maybe she can make up 6% or so if that is the spread in closed states, but it's still no cakewalk.

17. she doesn't need a win
before Feb 5th but she needs some time before then for Obama to under perform. As long as the news is Obama's decisive victories, anything she or Edwards says is going to seem irrelevant.
You can fight a rising tide but you can't hold back a tsunami.

19. Less than decisive losses in IA NH and SC wouldn't be disasterous
going in Feb 5.

It doesn't look like it is going to turn out that way.

She needs big 2nd place finishes in NH and SC, and I don't know if its going to turn out that way.

22. it is shaping up
for Obama to win big in NH & SC. NV hasn't had a recent poll so who really knows but the momentum is undeniably Obama's.
Frankly I'm surprised Clinton or Edwards campaigns haven't been "leaking" internal polls that say Obama's is set to win NH by 50 points. Then when he only tops Clinton or Edwards by 10 - 15 point they can start talking about his descent back to the world of mortals.

28. you wanna know the path? well read along with me as I try
to enlighten ya.....

hrc will make token visits to sc knowing that obama will win there. but there are three more states left in january. say she wins the small state of nevada..hell a win is a win. then she goes and wins michigan...oh the joy a big win can bring and the mediawhores will have to report this. whether it be positive or negative....okay now we all head south to florida...hrc wins florida and the mediawhores will i suspect try and spin it anti hrc but thats okay the public will see that hrc has won the big states of michigan and florida.....Now we head to 2/5 and the mojo is with hrc.....

say obama wins illinois and that is a given and he wins a couple of other states but the biggest winner that day is hrc with about 16 states.....Now, what is obama and edwards folks gonna do? Nothing, cause hrc is headed for the nomination....

Now see, that was not hard to read and it is not to hard to IMAGINE..so, let us let it play out.....
