Did the tears help Hillary with NH women?
I'm beginning to think it was a genius move.

9. Right! I didn't see any tears and I have HDTV 42"
She might had a slight moistness that can be unseen.

But I heard it in her voice and it wasn't fake.

5. Mit Romney cried three times.
It didn't help him in this election. Nor did it get the kind of scrutiny and criticism that Hillary got.

6. Perhaps effective communication was involved?

Eyes (and ears) of the beholder, and all that...

7. She let herself act like a person.
I never saw tears, the choke up thing--whatever.

She did go out, with help of friends, and let us know she is a real person. She should have let us in on this personal side long ago.

I accept that she may have kept her strong exterior out of self-preservation. She is the first woman to come close to this, and she may get it. She wouldn't have been taken seriously unless she acted serious.

I wish it weren't so.

8. Watch the video. Hillary did NOT cry.
She no doubt is worn out, and who wouldn't be? I admire all of the candidates for their stamina at this point. And she has her Senatorial duties to attend to as well, no doubt that is taking some time and energy as well.

Given the situation, anyone would be justified in acting as she did. She's human.

10. She's a human being...just as much as Obama is...
I know that plenty of *ssh*les think she is a b*tch and a harridan, but she is human...and she showed human emotions. I don't think getting a bit emotional helped or hurt her...but it may have made her a bit more easy to relate to.

it was a human moment, and not contrived if that's what led you to consider it a genius move.

12. If anything, I'd like to think there's a backlash against the backlash...
That people (especially women) got pissed at the media hype over her speaking passionately in the debate ("losing control -- getting angry!") and then getting misty ("losing control -- falling apart!").
