5. I have a friend who runs a political consulting firm in DC. Most
of his clients are Dems. A year ago he told me that McCain would be the Dems' toughest competitor because he's perceived as experienced, a maverick, and someone who can appeal to Independents. If he's the nominee our best hope is that the fundies will stay home.
