Romney just now on MSNBC: "Americans believe in God! And even those that don't..."
Edited on Tue Jan-08-08 08:58 PM by LucyParsons
"...believe in something bigger than themselves! Americans are patriotic!" Etc., etc., etc.

As an atheist, this strikes me as ______________________________.

My answer: too little, too late. Go fuck yourself, baseball glove boy.

1. As an athiest
It strikes me as typical uninformed opinion. What a loser he is.

3. I think I hate him almost as much as Bush
Not really, but if he became Prez that probably would eventually be true.

4. Another kick in the crouch to atheists.
Who doesn't believe in SOMEthing bigger than themselves?

Even if it is their Family or Democracy or America or Society or Nature or the fucking Universe.

STFU, arrogant asshole.

6. It wasn't well-phrased...
...but hell, from a Republican and a Mormon, I actually thought that was a surprisingly gracious acknowledgment of atheists as these things go.

Not that it makes me like Romney all that much more, but I give him a little bit of credit for this.

11. No credit from me - he was trying to fix his earlier fuck up.
In which he revealed that he has very little respect for the Constitution.

No - no credit. If he'd been saying that all along... maybe.

15. They met in Waco.
Did you know that Lucy is buried close to the Haymarket Martyr gravesite and, of course, her hubby, Albert.

I love Lucy & Albert!

And I'm just besides myself that someone here finally took her name!

I have never been to Chicago, but when I eventually go there, that is going to be my first stop.

13. Apparently God believes in John McCain
At least if you use Mitt's logic.

Hell, I voted for McCain in the 2000 primary, just to vote against Chimpy. Maybe God did the same thing in New Hampshire, just to vote against Mitt. And since Mitt believes God has a whole harem of wives, they must have voted for McCain as well.

Note from the McCain camp: "Thanks Elohim!! You and your wives ROCK!! :headbang:"
