This Minnesota Edwards Supporter may caucus for Obama Feb. 5th
If Hillary is running neck and neck with Obama through Nevada and South Carolina going into Feb. 5th and Edwards isn't running a distant 3rd, I will probably caucus for Obama. To me, Hillary represents a continuation of the secretive, manipulative, game-playing, truth-stretching Bush era and I seek to smother that fire upon our democracy.

1. Sounds like a good idea to me.
I'll be going to the MN caucus and might do the same thing.

3. Hmmmm. I am an Edwards supporter
But I would have to go with Hillary before Obama. Just intuition; I think that she is more progressive than Obama on some things, she doesn't bring religion into it, AND, I firmly believe that she would be much more reliable on the choice issue.

My dream ticket would be Edwards/Obama.

4. If she came out right now and said, "We need to impeach Bush and Cheney"...
... OR.... "We need to eliminate NAFTA and all other free trade agreements", I would support her.

5. ???????????
why give in?????? Edwards has said he's in till the convention! New Hampshire is hardly the state to depict what John can do in the general. Look at these demographics,( see link ) economic and race, it's no wonder Hil came out on top. Before you jump ship stick by your first choice and wait till the blue collar states get their voice heard LOD AND CLEAR!!!!!!!!!!!! When it's just Obama and Edwards the high school pep rally rhetoric will be demolished by real world facts.

John was smart enough to not waste millions of WORKING PEOPLES DOLLARS trying to win a white upper middle class state. Why worry?

14. It all depends on how the votes are distributed in Nevada and South Carolina...
If Edwards is still over 15% and Obama is doing well, I'll caucus for my guy.

If Edwards starts consistently plummeting to 14% or under and Obama is in dire need of help, I will caucus for Obama to stave off Hillary. As well, I will instruct a few like-minded people in the local party I have influence over to do the same.

9. god no don`t do that
no matter stick with john till the end. i have no dog in this fight other than john and barrack understand what needs to be done and hillary does`t have it in her to do it. the last thing the press wants is hillary to be third. i have come around to the the edwards supporters wondering why john gets no press..try being a dennis supporter...

I realize Edwards has a fierce following and I respect that, but defeating the Clinton Machine is an endeavor that may require all hands on deck.

This Obama supporter thanks you from the bottom of my heart. Cheers.

15. What do people in Minnesota think of Hillary?
Will they vote for her or does Minnesota have that "we don't like Hillary, but we're not sure why" sentiment going on? I'm really curious and would appreciate your insight.

16. Unfortunately, she's strong here. In my rural area, I honestly think Obama will win.
Edited on Wed Jan-09-08 10:55 PM by Infinite Hope
But in Minnesota overall, barring a large shift or change, I think at worst, she'll be within 2-3% of Obama.

One interesting note is that, from what I've heard, Obama is starting to organize here and has a staffer for each congressional district (or at least most of them).
