Hillary to the Media Pundits: "Kiss My Grits"
This Obama supporter has to give Hillary Clinton a lot of credit tonight. Tonight, Hillary turned the entire conventional wisdom on its head, she has humiliated all those who wrote her obituary with glee, and she can now relish her moment and savor it for all its worth and tell all those who wrote her off: Kiss my grits.

While I am optimistic that Senator Obama will win the upcoming South Carolina primary, I do have to give it up to all of Hillary's supporters here at the DU. Congratulations.

And if I have any solace in the surprise of this evening, it is this: the media all look like fools and the right-wing Clinton haters are not surprisingly very quiet.

And one final little word for Dick Morris, should he ever find his way to this site: Hillary Clinton made you look like the biggest jerk and fool in America tonight. In that, I take great joy.

On to South Carolina!

5. Hillary's not my favorite, but I couldn't be happier to see her win this one.
Just to piss Matthews off. Make no mistake, they want to destroy Hillary's nomination and bury Bill's legacy in the process. That's pretty obvious watching the Republican talking heads tonight.

6. That's a great description! I'm not really a Hillary supporter, but
I absolutely LOVE IT that all and I mean ALL the media pundits were WRONG! They all talk like such authoritarians, and I don't think I heard a good word about Hillary all day! Iven if she loses by 4 or 5, they all still look like cfomplete idiots! I couldn't be happier!

11. Agreed!
I was not up on what that miserable pissant dick morris had said. Frankly, when his mouth begins moving, my ears begin closing.

I'm wondering if that little emotional burp of hers actually helped her. The one thing that's been missing for Hillary is this image that she is harsh, tough, closed, shrill. That little choke-up may, in some eyes, have added all the opposites to those adjectives into the mix, finally. It's the softest and most vulnerable and most human I myself have ever seen her be. And the voice - that every critic has sniped at and lacerated as shrieking and scolding - was soft and actually quite lovely. It may have humanized her just enough. Still early at this posting - no winner's been declared yet. Things certainly could change.

13. in Dick Morris' defense...
..he already looked like a horses ass prior to today, so Senator Clinton can't take all the credit :)

15. Great post. Now your what I call a REAL DUer!
Notice the pundits hardly talk about Hillary being ahead for now. They're too embarrassed! If Obama eventually wins...we'll never hear the end of it and how intuitive they are. Good luck to your candidate.
