And I'm soooooooo sick of Tweety's prognositications too.

Maybe tonight's results will restore some sanity to our political dialogue.

Edited on Tue Jan-08-08 09:43 PM by liberalmuse
Not. It's a very interesting primary season, anyway.

PS--I have also believed Hillary Clinton represented the "status quo" until the past week, when I witnessed the unfair attacks on her. It seems to have changed my mind about what the "status quo" really is (fucking male).

55. So I'm not "o.k."
I think Obama needs to learn some humility. I hope he does, and I wish him well. It builds character.

I want to know more about who Obama really is, and I want to hear specifics about what he really stands for on the issues, what he's really proposing to do to effect "change", in detail, and how he thinks he's going to accomplish some clear goals. I haven't heard any of that yet, and if he wins the nomination, I think the voting public deserves to know those things.

So far it seems like he's been playing to the media while seeking rock-star status. Lots of feel-good but hollow homilies, platitudes and euphemisms and empty slogans. I want to see more substance and less form.

Tweety, especially, has contributed most heavily to it all.

And the rudest among Obama's supporters on DU have been doing their ugly damnedest to make everyone else's lives here miserable ever since. For the past week they've made DU virtually unreadable with their constant insults and spam threads.

So I'm happy to see Hillary letting some hot air out of their tires.

him out as "Mr. Inevitable".

OTOH, Obama, with his MLK quotes, and all, *has* been acting like he thinks he has some kind of date with destiny, as if Dr. King's "I have a dream" speech was written about him strutting his way into the White House ("you're the wave, I'm riding it", etc., etc., ad nauseum).

You've got to admit, Obama has gotten away to date with not just a lack of scrutiny, but he comes across at times as rather full of himself.

Then Obama gets a brief surge and his supporters became really arrogant. Now we're back to the arrogant Hillary supporters again.

I honor what they all have been through and what they are trying to do for us. I have a favorite, but I alwaus knew I would be able to work hard for our ticket come Summer and stand behind whoever the Democrats nominate to defeat the Republicans and restore sanity to the White House.

Now Tweety on the other hand, yeah I will delight in his discomfort if Hillary wins New Hampshire!
