WOW! Rachel Maddow: "THEY'RE BLAMING CHRIS MATTHEWS"
Edited on Tue Jan-08-08 10:26 PM by Seabiscuit
On Tweety's show, no less. Rachel came right out and told Tweety to his face that the New Hampshire voters aren't blaming the media, "they're blaming Chris Matthews" (citing a recent study or memo).

I've never seen Tweety looking so crestfallen.

ROTFLMAO!!!

I thought she was saying it was the blogs blaming him...?

In any case, right now the good people at Media Matters must be cracking up -- they've been tracking Tweety's nonsense for weeks now.

a page so crowded with info that I didn't have the energy to wade through it all to find that comment even if it were still there.

35. I think MSNBC is forcing Matthews to share the stage during the election coverage
with Olberman, Buchanan AND Rachel Maddow. And Matthews by now is soiling his diapers and choking on his cud.

Rachel keeps popping all the putrid baloons floated by Matthews and Buchanan.

When she brought up the "Si se puede" (Spanish for Obama's "Yes we can" refrain during Obama's concession/victory speech tonight) Buchanan ignorantly commented that it was a slogan supporting illegal immigrants. She bopped him over the head pointing out accurately that it was used by Cesar Chavez with the migrant farm workers movement decades ago.

Keith Spanks Matthews For His Delay Crush
By: Nicole Belle on Tuesday, January 8th, 2008 at 6:37 PM - PST

Get your head out of the gutter…it was ever so gentle

Keith Olbermann is far too professional to be as confrontational as I would be on the subject of Chris Matthews’ well-documented man-crushes, where he gets enthralled by what he perceives as shrewd maneuvering by politicians without any connection to whether the maneuvering is a positive or negative for the country as a whole. However, he couldn’t resist a little playful poke at the juxtaposition between Chris Matthews excoriation of the Clintons’ political machine and his arms-open-wide intro and fawning interview of Tom Delay, who for whatever reason was asked to give his opinions on the primary tonight.

KO: I can’t let the moment pass…I have to ask you this: the juxtaposition. You said the Clintons are guilty of questioning how the game is played …

CM: Right…

KO: And then, we went directly to an interview with Tom Delay. I can’t let that mo…it’s not a rhetorical question, it’s just an observation of the sequence of events there I found rather extraordinary.

CM: Well, Tom’s out of the game and you might get more attitude out of the guy who’s out of the game. He’s not being careful.

KO: On occasion in his past, he was known though for questioning the roles of the game.

CM: Yeah, well, you mean when they had that redistricting in the middle of the decade, rather than waiting to the end of it? You got a strong memory, sir…

33. Sample comments from TPM
Edited on Wed Jan-09-08 12:35 AM by LVZ
"I almost wonder if more Dems didn't vote for Hillary to counter the BS media narrative about rejecting the Clintons once and for all. I say this as someone who has given 1500 bucks to Obama, gone to several of his events out here in CA, met him, and plan to vote for him. Part of me, however, was so pissed about this media narrative about Hillary and the Clintons in general that I had in the back of my mind that I would consider voting for her just to piss the media off. That's not going to happen now as it appears we have a real race, but still . . . do you see what I am saying? I mean this whole weekend we see people like Andrea Mitchell and Chris Matthews salivating over how the Democrats "rejected the Clintons" and want to puke. I am for Obama not because I am against Clinton (either one), but because I am for Obama. That's it. I think he is the best of the big 3 dem candidates. Would I be happy to vote for Hillary or Edwards in the general? Hell yeah. Did I think Bill Clinton was a great President? Yes. And I think Hillary would probably be pretty good too."
