Edwards: A Two-Man Race...
He was talking about this four days ago...counting Clinton OUT, and counting himself IN as the only one strong enough to do battle with Obama. Overly-cocky comes back to bite you on the ass each and every time. Clinton may not win in NH, but she is obviously NOT OUT.

3. Clinton didn't say he was...Edwards counted her OUT. That's the difference...
I still like Edwards, and think he would be great as President...but don't go counting the other candidates out...it's not cool.

5. I agree completely!! Ohio and NH "call the shots" because people say they do.
It's a self-fulfilling prophecy aided and abetted by the media, by polling organizations, and by professional political manipulators.

4. yeah I don't think that's being overly cocky
he had to frame it that way. It's not like he's going to stand up and spend his time trying to bring somebody who he just beat back in the race. He wants a two person race, it's his only shot, so he had to go that way. I doubt he ever truly counted Clinton out inside. She's too well-known, has too much money, her husband is a revered party figure. He was just doing what he had to do to get the focus off of one celebrity candidate, so he could then focus on the other. He knows he's up against two powerful people here.

6. He didn't say two-man race. He said two races down (Iowa and NH).
