2. I just read about it
He made the prediction a couple of days ago. After Iowa, I'm shocked he would make such a risky statement. But it worked.

8. He was just trying to boost morale
It's done a lot in sports, especially football. It can help motivate a team, but yes it does sometimes backfire.
