And yes, congratulations to NH for voting their own way and not following lockstep behind Iowa.

I don't feel disappointed tonight, despite my support for Obama. I feel heartened that people aren't following any script of inevitablility.

I still have great hopes that Barack Obama will be the nominee of the democratic party. I found his speech magnificent and inspiring and on point. He addressed all of the things that I think are vital, and was both graceful and gracious.

We'll see what happens next.

Good luck to all the campaigns in the weeks to come.

5. Thanks, it was a close one.
So, though Obama's supporters are surprised (due to lousy polls), you can feel proud it was that close.

Onward...

8. Good post, Cali. When Hillary lost in Iowa, it wasn't a shock, at least--
tonight is a terrible shock, for us and Obama too--I believed he would win. Much more difficult to swallow. But, congrats to Hillary supporters.

14. I believed we'd win too. Why wouldn't we, doggie?

All the polls pointed toward a win. But I'm not shocked or disappointed. I think it will be a good race through Super Tuesday, and it will continue to engage Americans. It's all good.

10. You have learned an important lesson. You can't jump on a bandwagon without knowing where it is
headed.

I've been a political observer for many years.

Glad to see you temper your opinions.

11. I have tempered nothing. And I have also been a political
observer for many years. And I suggest you take a look at the thread I started BEFORE I left to go out tonight, in which I wished everyone well.

You can keep your insufferable condescension. I don't have any particular use for it.

16. Thanks. No, I support Obama. I wrote a long post about coming
to that decision the day before the Iowa caucuses.
