I am not a Hillary supporter, but ...
I think after Iowa the NH results prove at least that she is a fighter. I doubt anyone would disagree the Dems need one of those. God knows there are far too few of them in Congress. To my way of thinking; however, Kucinich was/is our only hope for redemption. My real regret though over the Iowa caucus is that Hillary should have but probably didn't learn anything. The message was "Listen to the people; not corporate interests." I would happily vote for Hillary if I thought she learned that lesson. I doubt she did. Unfortunately, she has likely drifted from her Wellesley College rather leftist senior thesis. If the Refucks win in 2009, and they very well might if Hillary is our candidate, then so be it. Don't blame Hillary. Democrats voted for her. Blame all those who did. I should add that though I do not support her now, I once did. She might be a lot of things, but unlike our current president she is anything but an idiot. If she is eventually our candidate and if she is elected, and if she is our candidate then I sincerely hope she gets elected, I believe she will be a smart president. Whatever your thoughts, you have to admit that's a lot more than we've had in a very long time.

1. Hillary is a fine lady and a good senator
Edwards should be the next President, though.

2. I would absolutely agree with your assessment of Hillary.
I would generally agree with your assessment of Edwards; "generally" only in that I would of course prefer, as I think most of us would, Kucinich, but of course reality is a bitch. Thanks for your reply. At this point, I would love to see Edwards get the nomination. Unfortunately, I think, like Kucinich, Edwards just makes too much goddamn sense. Regrettably Americans, even Americans who are Democrats, won't nominate somebody like that. I plan to write in Dennis for the primary because I live in Texas, and by the time I vote it won't matter. It will have already been decided. I therefore get to vote on principle rather than pragmatism. As for the general election, I'm not saying right now. Of course I can't and would not vote for a reThug, but I'm not yet sure I wouldn't write in Dennis just to satisfy my conscience. If Edwards were to get the nomination though, I could vote for him and feel comfortable about it. The problem is, most people who know me think I'm nuts so I'm probably in the minority.
