The day is coming... (For all my friends at DU)

The day is coming in which this great nation will rise up to honor itself through the recognition of the ability that its daughters to lead it into prosperity. The day is coming in which generations that endured mistreatments, indifference and humiliations from the established power structure can spiritually join the current generation and those that will follow in celebration of their collective triumph. And although inequality and imposed hardships that those born outside the spheres of power have to endure will not disappear, they will unequivocally share the feeling that their worthiness and essence as women and citizens has been and can be recognized even in the highest spheres of national public service... and for that reason they will be able to lift their heads and look to the horizon with pride while remembering that figure that, in their name, was able to make it and will say: "WE CAN MAKE IT!"... and they will also be able to look down to the faces of little girls that, without knowing what kind of World they live in, dream that they can achieve the impossible, and they will also be able to tell them, without any fear or doubt: "YES GIRLS, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE IT TOO!"...

With the hope that those chained hands that helped built the bases of this nation, those hearts that still carry a pain that is centuries old, those brothers and sisters who are still waiting for their nation to earn a vote of confidence and acceptance from their nation through one of their own without any hesitation, can have the same opportunity one day, for the sake of those coming after me, I salute Hillary Clinton and every single one of her supporters.
