I just donated $100.00 to Hillary Clinton for President...
and I can ill afford it. I'm struggling to make ends meet, but she has made me proud to be an American. I want to see the Clintons back in the White House.

If you support the Clintons and if you want Change you can COUNT on. Not pipe dreams and heel~tapping~dreams, then Please donate to her campaign.

1. I wonder if she'll notice it among the scores of $2000 checks from corporations?

5. Probably will not mean much...
but if I had more to give I would. Why do you have to be hateful when a candidate has come back from a sure loss? You must be pretty bitter to have posted that. I'm sorry for you.

9. Not bitter.
Just pointing out that she's the corporate candidate. Looks at her donor roles.

26. Probably not.
Unless you're out there actively pounding pavement, you're just a name on a mailing list.

But if it makes the OP feel better to donate, then by god donate. I'm extremely worried about them making this significant of a donation, however, when they can ill afford it. $100 is a lot of money to regular folks.

It's pennies in the fountain, to a Hillary Clinton. (and yes, I know the apocryphal stories of rich tightwads that crawl in those fountains to steal every coin. ha.)

That's too much like the fake churches which take the money from lil ol' grannies who only want prayers in return and a bit of holy water, those churches which tell those lil ol' grannies that if they don't donate God will punish them instead of bless them.

Off topic, I remember when I was working for one of those rip-off PIRG enviromental groups which advertise in the classified every summer telling students they can earn $300 - 400 a week canvassing. I didn't earn a dime for all the time I spent. It was a money scam. We were supposed to read off a script, and the prime focus was collecting money. Not knowledge. Not passion for the issues. Money. And at the end of all that time reading those environmental scripts, my group's team leader recited what had to be a 'we don't need you back' script because we didn't make enough money, and then he pocketed his 'share' of the donations. Again, none of us received a dime. And they didn't care about the people whose money was being collected, either. They were just folks who were going to receive more sucker mailings with requests for more money.

I say that, having donated to the Red Cross and Save the Children and feeling happy doing so. But I'm not going to put myself at financial risk to do so.

Take care of home. Then you can take care of everything else.

Everyone should try and put their money where their mouth is...or go out and help in campaigning. I am living far away from home and can only do this bit for now.

And now I'm going to have to somehow come up with $200.00 to donate to Obama...

17. Giving $100 when you can't afford it is like tithing 10% when you can't afford rent.
They are not going to notice if you give in dribs and drabs (unless you're Mormon or go to a prosperity ministry church) as you can afford it. It's fine to give $5 here, $10 there, that adds up.

But (like I tell folks who put money in the church tithing platter when they don't have groceries and the utilities are about to be cut off) don't give what you cannot afford to give.

The most serious thing is that she doesn't need your money. She has the biggest war chest out of any of the candidates. You give a dollar, you give 100, it's all the same to them. To her.

She needs your volunteer work. Not you putting yourself in dire financial straits.

22. I will be donating when and if she wins
I don't have much money either and I will hold off to donate what I can when she wins the nomination.

Anyway, ignore the asses who seem upset, they are just angry (some are hysterical) Hillary won tonight, its human emotions.

$50 is about all I can do right now, but every little bit helps. I think she will happy to hear that lots of smaller checks are flowing her way. It will help and show her that we want her to win.
